The school philosophy was developed by studying God's Word. It contains a system of values, beliefs, disciplines based on the Lord Jesus Christ as He is revealed in the Scriptures. It is one that follows after Christ because in Christ, "are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge."(Colossians 2:3)
The Christian philosophy of education requires that we see everything in life through God's Word, even in our textbooks (Lowrie, 1986). He says that if our textbooks do not agree with the teachings of God's Word, then our textbooks are wrong and God's Word is right.
Therefore, FCS adopts a Christian philosophy of education that calls for an educational process that puts the Bible at the center and asks the student and the teacher to evaluate all they see in the world through the eyes of God-because God is truth (Kienel, 1974).
FCS Christian Philosophy is illustrated as follows:
**with Dramatics, Journalism and Creative Writing
**with Social Studies, Music, Arts, P.E., TH.E.
The Bible is the center of the curriculum surrounded by all subjects, student activities, and student services. The arrows signify continuous interactions between the Bible and the subjects.
The educational philosophy of Faith Christian School is based on a God-centered view of truth and man as presented in the Bible. It is an educational process that puts Bible in the center and asks the student and the teacher what the Bible says about the subject, the truth about it and the application of the truth in practical daily life of the student. We endeavor to lead each student that absolute truth exists in the person of the Lord Jesus Christ. In Christ are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge (Col. 2:3). Who ever lacks wisdom can ask of it from God (James 1:5). The instructional philosophy at FCS is based on the Lord Jesus Christ as He is revealed in the Scriptures.
FCS has accepted the responsibility of reinforcing the Biblical teachings of the home and church. It operates in loco parentis (in place of parents). It does not relieve the parents of the ultimate responsibility for the education of the children. However, the goal of FCS should be the goal of the Christian parents making the student Christ-like, hence, making him the best person that God wants Him to be.
The entire process of education at FCS is dynamic and progressive. It is inherent to the fact that the students are created in God's image and is endowed with His transferable qualities. They are also created as unique beings born with gifts and talents to their fullest potential for God's glory.
Transformation of lives through academic excellence and Bible integration, is the FCS adopted banner. God makes it plain that His will for all Christians is that "they be perfect and thoroughly furnished unto all good works." (II Timothy 3:17). To accomplish this task, God gives men various gifts for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ. The board, administrators, faculty and staff through the in-service training, workshops, seminars and continuing education commit to grow, advance and excel in their performance as God's instruments in this area.
As a Christian witness to the community, FCS strives to contribute towards the holistic development of the youth in the municipality of Cainta and surrounding communities. It also aims to make an impact through graduates who are conformed to Christ-likeness.
